Origin of the Kentia palm<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Kentia palm originally comes from Lord Howe Island, an island located between Australia and New Zealand. Because of the island\u2019s isolated location, a unique flora and fauna developed here, including the Kentia palm (Howea forsteriana). It was not until 1788 that the island was discovered by the Englishman Lord Howe. The first Kentia seeds were brought back to England in 1870 and the Kentia palm soon became a popular houseplant there. To this day, Hartog Palms import the sprouts from Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.<\/p>\n<\/div>
